The League

This intensive masterclass is six weeks to better loose leash walking skills.

You will learn how to communicate better with your dog through force-free, science-based methods that won't just teach you leash walking skills - you'll also have FUN through games and challenges.

This course is suitable for dogs that pull, have some reactivity to specific triggers and a great next step following puppy foundations.

Puppy Basics

Get your puppy off to a great start as soon as you bring them home! In the first weeks of being in your home, puppies (8-16 weeks) are going through an important socialization stage so this is the ideal time to get started!

We cover housetraining dos and don’ts, management, puppy socialization, training methods and tools, how to deal with puppy nipping, chewing and body handling. We also start building focus and working on basic obedience cues and enrichment games.

Manners

This six week program teaches guardians how to identify a desired behaviour and how to set their dog up for success when greeting strangers out on the town, what to do when visitors come over, what our pups should be doing when we are cooking in the kitchen and when we are sitting down to eat.

Happy Handling

Cooperative care is an important part of raising your dog to be comfortable with all kinds of body handling. Over the course of your dog’s life they will likely need to be handled by veterinary staff, caretakers and groomers (depending on breed). Wouldn’t it be great if you could teach them that not only can they learn to tolerate these situations but that they can actually become active participants in their own care?

This six week class teaches guardians and their dogs what consent is and how to use a “start button” behaviour to create calmness around procedures. If your dog has aggression around body handling, please contact us for private consultations.

Canine Einstein

This is not your average tricks class! In this class you (the human) will learn both foundational skills and precision skills to bring out the best in your dog. Increase your awareness about your dogs learning style, how to use reinforcers and most importantly, how to keep training FUN! You will be learning skills that have transferability to dog sports like Rally-O and agility as well as tricks training.

Note: the first class in this series will be “no dogs” - we are working on handler skills first.
